Well, the heiress poll is up (despite a seemingly minor (and yet really major) setback)

So here are the pictures of the contenders!

First up is Kathryn:

And then of course Loryn:

Then there's Alyx:

And last but not least is Beatrice:

So, there they are! :) They're all too young to have that many traits yet, but I don't choose based on traits anyway. xD If they end up having more kids (and they happen to be girls) I'll make another poll later.

So....

Vote please! ^_^

You have GOT to be kidding me. x_x

So I had fully intended on starting up the Gen. 1 heiress poll today, as I'm working on Ch. 8 right now. And as I'm playing, do you know what Quinn has asked for? ANOTHER CHILD. >_< Are. You. KIDDING ME?! They have six already! UGH. I dunno what I'm gonna do, if I'm gonna let them have another kid or what. It's just... It's ridiculous. *sigh*

Thoughts would be appreciated.

Generation One: Chapter Seven

So thanks to the fact that Quinn and Leighton can't keep their hands off each other (and maybe thanks to a mod or two xP), Quinn is now in the family way. AGAIN. This is the last time, I mean it! Swear to god, if I find you preggerz again Quinn I'm gonna kill you off prematurely! *evil eye*

Anyway. While Quinn slept (finding out you're having ANOTHER child is exhausting) Leighton decided that since the little ones were aging up today, he needed to finish teaching them those life lessons that everyone ought to know. So he taught Loryn how to walk,

and got a head start with Adam (Quinn will finish Adam's walking skill, since she has a wish for that).

And wouldn't you know that as soon as Leighton has to do any real work around the house, it's time for work? Well thankfully Quinn woke up at the same time (fully rested, I might add - at ten to three in the afternoon), probably as irked about Leighton's job as I am. I can just imagine what she's thinking: "One of these days, one of my girls is gonna rule the world and then men will have to do EVERYTHING for us women..." *insert evil laughter here*

And who would show up, but the stalkerazzi and her too-young-for-you hoodie.

Good thing she didn't decide to become a Stylist. >_>

Well, despite the stalkerazzi's ever-watchful eye, Quinn was able to teach Loryn some of the more important lessons in life.

Like what happens when you do something bad: the judge will bang the gavel and send you to jail. And then you'll be bombarded by stalkerazzi on the way out of the courthouse. :O

In the middle of all this discussion of right and wrong (or, as some like to think of it, right and getting caught), the house took on this yellow-ish hue. Confused, I zoomed out a bit and this is what I saw:

Ghosties! Bring on the Halloween music! >:D

Ahemm.... o-O; Anyway.

Caleb wanted to throw a slumber party, so I had him call up his friends. ... Or, friend. O_o; Turns out there's only one kid on the entire relationship panel... and it's LEIGHTON's acquaintance. ... Well, better than nothin', I suppose. So Caleb invited him over for a slumber party - not even realizing his house was being exorcised.

Meanwhile, Quinn's slacking on her teaching duties, and Leighton just rolled a midlife crisis wish to change jobs. Just for the hell of it, I'm going to make him join the Criminal career. >:D Hey - you get free stuff occasionally, and he already has the athletic trait. It's a win-win. :)

As Leighton was leaving, Caleb's little friend showed up at the door - and Caleb rolled a wish to bring a sim a drink?! He can't drink! He's a child, for Merlin's sake! >_< Stupid random wishes. (Hahaha. Caleb invited this kid to the sleepover and wants to use the Friendly Introduction interaction. xD Fail.)

Adam just informed me that he's about to age up (thankfully I think we got him all trained), and then I realized that the ghost hunter, who finished exorcising the lot an hour ago, is making herself right at home.

Umm, NO! D:< Stupid NPC's, eatin' all mah food...

Anyway, I went to check on Adam, so I double-clicked on his panel picture, and...

He's BALD? Oh, hell no!

Better. Lovin' the penguin, too. :P

Then it was Loryn's turn.

She doesn't look too happy about her crappy 'do and the ugly, mismatched clothes... Don't worry, dear. We'll rectify that fashion error shortly. :)

Not too bad for a fashion-challenged person like me, eh, Lor? xP

So since we have two little girls in the house now, Kathryn's gonna have to learn to sleep with bunk beds (Adam can just take Sam's old bed since he's out of the house now.) I can't afford to make ANOTHER room, and I need the nursery for the new bab(y/ies).

Now, remember how Caleb decided to have a slumber party? Well, apparently his parents weren't cool enough to sleep under the same roof as the boys, because they went aaaaaaaall the way over there to the back of the lot to sleep. O_o

They weren't the only Herondales to sleep in odd places that night, though. It seems Adam and Loryn (even though I specifically directed her to the new BUNK BED I spent minutes painstakingly recoloring) both decided to camp out in the tree house and have their own slumber party (since, at the time, they were too young to be invited to their big brother's). I find this sort of adorable, especially since they're twins. ^_^ Maybe they'll be close growing up?

The next morning Lemar left early (that was the kid's name - Lemar), and eventually the school bus showed up to take Caleb (whose birthday was today), Adam, and Loryn to school. Leighton rolled some really random MC wishes, like 'Work out until fatigued' and 'Plan outfit'. He chatted with Kathryn a bit at LeFromage, told her about the new addition to the household. All that jazz.

Things were seeming pretty normal, surprisingly. The kids had a friend over after school - Ronda Alto - and Adam and Loryn's IF's, Syndi and Sterling, respectively, came out to play. Now if Kat would come home, her IF Cuddles could join 'em. xD

Quinn invited Sam over because the boys wanted to hang out with him, but Caleb never got to thanks to a stupid Opportunity from the school. He was out till almost curfew researching the grocery store, and on his way home he had to stop because it was - you guessed it - BIRTHDAY TIME!!!!

What is with that getup? Um, no. No self-respecting Herondale would be caught dead in that.

... Eh. It'll do. It's not like he's staying in the house very long, and after that, I couldn't care less about his appearance.

So, that evening, the kids went to bed (they're really bad about not doing their homework), Leighton played hopscotch for a few hours, and Quinn did a little bit of cardio to try to whip herself into shape (before the baby comes? Really Quinn?). Stupid Leighton interrupted her to talk to her tummy, so she used that as an excuse to take a potty break. Well, upon resuming her workout...

And into the world venture little Alyx Herondale,

Maybe it's the makeup, but she looks FREAKY doin' that o-o

and miss Beatrice Herondale.

Again - what's with the eyes?!

I get the feeling she's not too keen on this particular babeh. Maybe it's 'cause I decided on Beatrice? I thought it was cute; I certainly wouldn't pick it for my own child, but for a sim...

Hellz yeah. :)

Umm... yeah.... o-o

So you know how I told ya I'd have Ch. 7 posted within a couple days of Ch. 6 being posted?? ... I got an HDMI cable for my PS3. And I had to test it out. So for the past three days I've been playing Eternal Sonata and marveling at the sharpness of the graphics. Granted, the graphics are kind of funny looking anyways (just the way things were drawn; I think it's Japanese originally), but it looked so much better. I was playing it, up until ten or fifteen minutes ago when the power flickered (and thus ending my video game tournament with myself >_<). Since I don't really feel like turning it back on, waiting for it to load, etc., I'm going to work on the Herondales. :) (Plus maybe if my tv is off for the rest of the evening it might not be so flippin' hot in here when I go to sleep.)

Just an update. :)

Just an update.

Since nothing has really happened yet, the only updates I could make to the family tree were to add pictures for Sam, and fix the pictures for Quinn and Leighton. Since they're preggerz again, though, it should be updated either today or tomorrow with the new kid(s), depending on when I play again and for how long.

Generation One: Chapter Six

Welcome back! I hope the glitches from last chapter didn't scare you away ('cause they almost did me :P).

So it's week four, day two in the game and, coincidentally, little Kathryn's birthday. I suppose I'll be nice and throw her a party, although it makes me a little hesitant to have so many sims in one place (god knows when this game's gonna glitch up). Sam is off to school, and Leighton has to work today until 7, so it looks like Sam will have to miss their sister's party because it's either him or daddy, and I'm sure Kat would rather have Daddy there than her older half-brother :P

The Romper Recreation Playground at 11 am? Done. Although I was sad there was no 'Birthday Party' type listed. But oh well. That's what we have cake for. :D

I sent them over early because I knew they wouldn't get there on time, and received a notification saying some children may be left behind because there aren't enough adults to carry them. Well of course poor Loryn got the short end of that stick. But she couldn't stay home - it's silly to pay for a babysitter because you can't pick up your child - and how unfair would it be to miss her big sister's b-day party? So, using the wonders of teleportation...

And voila! Instant baby!

Now if only Mommy could figure out how to be on tiem to her OWN PARTY that would be fantastic. Daddy and the birthday girl are already set, and obviously Loryn and Caleb are there as well, but Quinn (holding Adam) is just standing there stupidly in her living room with the 'meet up' action, even though she's clearly NOT meeting up. >_< So...

I think the teleportation thing kind of freaked Adam out though.

And now it's time for Kathryn to blow out the candles.

Those jerks! They're all standing there watching Leighton teach Lor how to walk while Kat's becoming a child?! How dare!

That's better. >_< Although I could have done without all the testosterone. This is a little GIRL'S party, after all.

Oh my god is that not adorable?! xD She's so cute, I love her. <3

UGH! But the stupid random paparazzi that just showed up (wearing clothes that are WAY too young for her, might I add) and got right in the way of my pic. >_<

Hah, look at her, tryin' to scare the paparazzi with her cross-eyed demon face! <3 But seriously, makeover time. Immediately.

Much better. Now she looks the part of potential heiress. :)

Who said you get cake?! You weren't even invited! -__- So much for shelling out an extra 150 simoleons for EXCLUSIVE ACCESS. x_x

And what party would be complete without music??

... Okay, so she's not playing for free. A girl's gotta make a living, especially when she hasn't been to work since before her first kid. The tips and watchers were sparse though, so when Leighton stopped by after work to help with the kids, he and Quinn took their spawn back home, not even realizing that their oldest had already left hours ago (he was exhausted and tried to sleep in the treehouse in the park. He would have if I'd let him, but then I'd have to deal with him being out after curfew). Tsk tsk.

They returned home to find a new addition to the place. Being the only (school age) girl in the family meant she needed her own room. And she got one - all decked out in pink.

My eyes! They burn! X_X

Surprisingly, Quinn rolled a wish to send Kat to LeFromage Art School (I would have guessed culinary academy, but what do I know?), so as soon as she put Loryn to bed she enrolled Kat in boarding school. And everyone, being exhausted from the party/work/school, headed off to bed. (When I dragged Kat's IF Cuddles out of her inventory and put him on the floor by her bed, he stood there for a minute and then 'hopped' (literally) into this position):

I don't know why people don't like these guys. I think they're adorable! :)

Well all of the family seemed to want some different object, so while they slept I went and bought them all the items on their wish lists. Which included a tree house. And what does Quinn roll? 'Woohoo in a tree house'. Yay. >_< And what does Leighton roll?? 'Have another kid'. Fan-freaking -tastic. So, to get it over with (since Quinn's supposed to go to work tomorrow), I woke them up for a little pre-dawn woohoo in the kids' (brand new) clubhouse.

Is it supposed to come off the tree like that? O_o

They both got the 'Splinter' moodlet, too.

I love that. xD But that's what they get for doin' the dirty in the tree house. Those poor kids'll be traumatized if they ever find out (God I hope Sam does - see how tough that little punk is after THAT info).

It seems Leighton and Sam both have birthdays today. They don't get a party, though. They don't deserve one. Besides, there's not enough time. They can just suck it up. :P Everyone else is aging up in a couple of days (aside from Kat, of course).

Ooh, Monsieur Cuddles has come out to play.

And he matches the walls.

Just as he was about to chat with Kathryn, she had to leave for boarding school.

Do you SEE this injustice??? They're letting their baby girl go off to BOARDING SCHOOL, didn't even bother to FEED her, and they don't even care that she'll be gone until her teenage years! Look, even Kat gets it! "You jerk, you're just gonna sit there and work out while I'm starving and have to catch my ride to school for weeks?!"

I know, Kat. I know. *scowls*

After she left, Quinn stopped teaching Loryn to talk to scold Sam about something (I know, he did undermine that charity last night, but still... ), but he got out of it because the school bus had arrived. You got lucky this time. Don't mess with the step-mama. >:(

Leighton eventually headed off to work, so Quinn tried to finish teaching Loryn how to talk. She didn't quite make it, though. The carpool for work came shortly after Hubby left, so, exhausted, she called for the sitter and headed to work (Sam was going to go to Mortimer Goth's house after school, but stupid work got in the way).

As I was keeping an eye on the babysitter (they're notorious for not doing their job), a notification popped into view:

Damn, girl, he was on his way... o-o (If you had any plans on building a relationship with your step-son, think again.)

Needless to say, Sam's mood is in the red now. Like, he's failing, it's so in the red.

Caleb was having fun, at least. I bought them a costume chest and he dressed up as an astronaut.

If he were taller, and fatter he'd remind me of Gru. xD

He apparently sucks at hopscotch though.

After seeing how many in this family were beginning to get grungy, I thought I should add on a bathroom for the kids to share. So I spent the last five thousand simoleons they had on adding on a bathroom. One shower and one toilet for four people was just not cutting it.

Although I apparently forgot that they had a babysitter, so when Leighton came home there wasn't enough left to pay her with. Oops...

O_O Bitch stole the kids' light! Really?! The ONLY light in that room and you're gonna take it?! Take the toys or something, they don't care, they just wanna play with their IFs. Ugh. I take back what I was thinking. All babysitters suck. x_x

Hahaha. Leighton has passed out, but even while passed out he still has enough thought and energy left to scold his son for stopping at the store after work instead of coming straight home. (Technically he's supposed to be on lockdown, but whatevs. They needed stuff, and he was there. They can deal.)

After his scolding, Sam aged up ("Now I want have to take any crap from any of you!" *evil laughter*) to a young adult.

He still looks like a punk to me. Maybe after a little... makeover?

I only did his everyday outfit and the hair. I don't care enough to do the rest. :P He looks a little better. The curve of his mouth makes him look like a pansy though, so I felt the need to give him some more macho, bad-ass clothes to offset that. xD

I promptly kicked Sam out of the house (he's not Quinn's legitimate child anyway, and therefore not a part of this legacy - I just felt bad for him being all alone, especially since I kinda stole his dad away), and Leighton had his birthday.

Why is he so excited? He's getting OLDER.

He seems happy to look exactly the same... He must not realize that he's got age lines now.

And just as Leighton aged into an adult, I get the notification telling me that Leighton is going through a midlife crisis that will last an entire week. Hah. Hahah. Hah. xD And his first midlife crisis wish? Move to a new house. Nuh-uh, Leighton. That's not part of the rules. Why couldn't you have rolled that wish during the glitch of Chapter Five?? I moved you all then. >_<

Meanwhile, Quinn was awakened from her nap by a bout of nausea.

Please let it be some bad sushi, I'm begging you... o_o

(I don't know why, but this just makes me LOL every time. xD)

Sorry, Quinn. It's hard to take you seriously in that outfit. xD

Shortly thereafter...

O_O Oh god... (She's totally rockin' the puppies, though. xD)

How many kids is it gonna be this time? (She's definitely gonna need to play for tips in the subway; Leighton's meager salary won't be enough to expand for all these kids.)

Wish them luck... They're gonna need it.
