Generation One: Chapter One

So I thought I'd give this whole legacy thing a shot, to spice up my simming life. :) I was going to upload this to wordpress, but that just gave me a headache. So I'm going to post this here (now that I've figured out how to do it. ^_^; ).

Anyway.

Meet Quinn Herondale: Ambitious, clumsy, a virtuoso, great kisser, and a hopeless romantic. Her greatest dream is to be the biggest rock star known to man - let's see if we can give it to her, shall we?

As per the legacy rules, I dropped her off on the biggest lot in Sunset Valley. I didn't think it was too bad, but I think Quinn was a bit confused. Shouldn't she be in a house befitting that of a rock legend?

Not yet, my dear.

But. I will grant you with the ultimate in luxury. A bed. :)

Well, someone's excited for not having that trait.

I decided to let her relax for a few minutes on her newest (and probably only) piece of furniture before I decided it was time for her to get a job. Thank Plumbob for taxis, because the theater's an awfully long way from her lot.

Hey, the driver looks like my old choir teacher! O_o

And apparently he's useless as a taxi driver. After dropping her off at the nearby subway station (Seriously?), Quinn took the train to the closest station to the theater and marched to the building, determined to snag herself a job.

Several minutes later, she left the building and exclaimed in triumph. YES! She'd gotten the job!

Now all she needs... is some skill. Off you go, Quinn, darling.

Look at you, acting like it's so hard. You stop that. You're going to be a rock star soon. And rock is not hard for a rock star. ;)

Ohhh, look who decided to come and say hello.

Leighton Sekemoto.

... Well, it could have been worse, Quinn. And at least he's trying to be friendly. The first thing he wants to do upon seeing her is brighten her day. And they must have hit it off, because after a few awkward moments of silence, Quinn proceeded to flirt with Mr. Sekemoto.

... I'm not sure how I feel about that.

I'm not sure how Leighton feels about the situation, either, actually. He looks a bit uncomfortable.

As well he should. If anything should happen to Missy Quinn before her dreams are realized, that person will be in enormous amounts of trouble! D:<

...

Nah, just kidding. ;-) But seriously. Dreams first. Love second.

They continued to chat for a while.

Leighton talked about his family a little. I don't think Quinn was too excited about the toddler, but she seemed amused when Yumi was mentioned. Oh, if only I spoke Simlish. He probably told a story where Yumi fell. >:D

So, after standing around for a few more awkward minutes, I decided that Quinn needed to broaden her company, before her life became one big awkward silence. I didn't have enough money to buy her a guitar like she wanted (Soon, my little rocker, soon.), so to make up for lack of instrument I sent her to the beach. Who doesn't want to parade around in their swimwear for the rest of the day??

Oh yeah! Rockin' the sun glasses! ;D And what beach day would be complete without a little sunbathing??

Doesn't she look relaxed?

-several minutes later-

All right, enough of that. Hey, look! A kid with chocolate! Quinn's probably getting hungry, so I sent her over to get some cake. (He looks like he did something to it, doesn't he?)

One cake and three quick drinks later, Quinn was starting to get a little light-headed. You know you've had too many when a blender amuses you.

I thought it might be a good idea to send her to the park. Maybe a little walk would help to clear her head (and keep her away from the bar). Once there, she decided on her own that she wanted to be 'cool' and hang out on the swing.

Not a minute had passed since she sat down before she was up again, this time wanting to play a game of chess.

By herself. After dark.

Don't get mad at me. I'm not the one who wanted to play chess at one o'clock in the morning. >.< Off to bed with you.

You're literally on the other side of the park from your lot, and yet you're going to call a taxi to get there???? ... You're just lucky it doesn't actually cost money. >_>

Well, after a long, awkward, mostly silent day, Quinn has finally settled into bed. Lucky for her she doesn't have to be up until ten, so hopefully she can get enough sleep to perform well at work

Sweet dreams, Quinn dearest. For while you dream of fame, fortune, and... children?... things are about to get much, much worse.
